Mat has been an emergency medicine since 1993. He has been a paramedic for 30 years and a firefighter for 32 years has worked for Washington DC fire and rescue children's Hospital Colorado in the ER. He currently started teaching college level EMT classes for Douglas county school district. Mat has been teaching CPR and first aid classes for the last 23 years and teaches roughly 50 classes per year.
